The love that is Ikea...

It starts in the place that you can eat there....it is the salad bowl, no matter what is offered it is ALWAYS the salad bowl. Greedy porker that I am, I always go for the LARGE, and tiny-tum that I have, I can NEVER finish.

Took the Smaller Brat with us today, dragged, almost literally, kicking and screaming from her bed, it could be a teenage thing. Had a great wee time, if we missed the 'arrows' we sought the maps. Bright sunshine coloured towels for the bathroom, a clip on light for Niamhs bed so she actually does not have to reach above her head to switch off the main one. Finished off in the Abbey Centre *pleurgh* for an AV composite thingy for the Wii. Reason being, the hub was out tonight, Niamh and I were up for 'Just Dance' and bit of Marioworld. Techie guys of Blogland, get it together and tune my Wii in?

One in the eye!

Off this full week, bliss. So today the hub and I took to and chopped the hedge - we both love using the hedge trimmer, sad actually, but its powerful stuff :). Things were fizzing along nicely until a bit of twig hit me squarely in the eye, big ouch and many watery-eyed tears. Still feel as if there is something in it and Optrex is my newest friend. Hub had full use of trimmer thereafter.

Yesterday, however, was a goodie. As usual, lost my way getting to Julies house, its a given, I have absolutely NO sense of direction. Hence we met in 'Dee. Never having been to Mountstewart and also having seen many images of the place courtesy of Julies Flickrstream (Shutterbug), suggestion was to FOLLOW Jules there. Its so damn beautiful and we didn't spend time enough there, shall be back. HORROR!! At the point of setting up a pic through my 'crystal ball', said ball rolled off the plinth and trundled off and into the lake! OK, you would think with 3 other toggers there might be a pic of the shock on my face, but no. Titters all round as I rolled up the sleeves and went in up to the elbows for a rescue. Returned it safe and with no injuries to its little satin box to be shot through another day.

Kicking back.

So, apparently life is supposed to get a little slower as we chug along agewise? FICTION!
From the week prior to the 1st of June, until 29th has been a rollercoaster, but this week has seen an easing off, a recharge.
Between gig shoots, freelancing for our local and a wedding (pre, on the day and post, which was supposed to be a pre) my wee world has been spinning merrily on every possible axis. It can only be to the good, but family life does suffer. That is one discovery. Another is that Julie Gibson (http://www.myspace.com/braehillphotography) and myself work very well together as a team. FACT! That is also good, as we will be working together more than a little bit in the future.
So many oppportunities have come my way over this past year, putting work in opens windows and doors, so does being a little gubby. Faith put in my by others is appreciated, repaid with loyalty.
Alrighty! No maudlin stuff. LOVE what I am doing at the mo, wrecked as and need hours. BIG shout out to my mates, you all know who you are, from Flickr to Poohtalk. To all the musicmakers I have shot and who have bits of my work around their sites, ta muchly. At this point I shall ask you all to produce your kleenex and blow your noses, because I can see how this little speech has affected you, readers.
On that note I shall finito....

The beginning....

Blogging. I suppose I actually already do it in my 365 project on Flickr, but this is a little more personal. How many years is it since I kept a diary? TOO many and yet this sort of appeals.

*Stands up, clears throat*

Hello, my name is Bernie and I see things from the other side.
